The Miami Herpetological Society (MHS) is a non-profit organization comprised of amateur and professional herpetologists for the purpose of enhancing experiences with reptiles and amphibians through education and conservation.
The MHS was founded by amateur and professional herpetologists in the Miami area who enjoy reptiles and amphibians in the field and at home.
The society is dedicated to enriching the experience of everyone who encounters or keeps reptiles and amphibians.
In addition, one of the society’s values is to promote and support the conservation of native reptiles through habitation preservation, monitoring native reptile populations, and teaching the public about the value of native reptiles.
The society is open to all who are interested regardless of background, experience, or age. Individuals under 18 years of age are encouraged to join with a parent.
