Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

How to get a colorful BRB....
I am in the market for a rainbow boa. I have been to a few reptile shows in the past and have searched around the internet so I've seen some pictures. What I have heard is that there are many different subspecies out there that aren't as colorful as the brazilian. I've also heard that, like with most animals, you can get less colorful brazilians. I need advice as to how to differentiate a colorful rainbow boa so I don't buy one that will mostly be brown blagh.
I've had corns and a few other snakes that start out as one color and then mature into totaly different patterns/colors so I am a little worried that I'll miss out on a good deal because it is a hatchling and appears brown but will look more like it's name in a few years.
Sugguestions please! And is brazilian the way to go or would haitian, columbian ect. be better?
Thanks
Missy

Quite frankly I don't think I have ever seen a Brazillian that looked "blagh!" (The other kinds of rainbow boas all seem pretty dull in comparison to me though.) I find my brazillian extremely attractive even though she is rather brownish. She still has a gorgeous oil slick effect with an intricate pattern. The really young brazillians are greyish and have a slightly different pattern than they will as adults.

The show was ok. The only BRB there was sold ten minutes before I walked in the door.
I did talk to a somewhat local breeder and he said he'd have more this summer. I did get a honduran milk, corn that was het butter, and a female ball. So it wasn't a terrible loss.
