Sunday afternoon I found my Chilean rose tarantula (Styx) laying on his back on top of a web, about to molt. I watched him carefully all day long (trying really hard not to disturb him). I did manage to get a few pics but they're on my cell so hopefully I can figure out how to post them... lol
The first pic is when I found him on his back:

The next couple were taken throughout the day. Notice the white fangs? So spooky! Lol

Close up of his fangs: (doesn't he look menacing?)

Almost out...

First pic after righting himself:

Styx after he's all done, one pic with a flashlight (he lives in a dark corner) and the next by a window with sunlight.

The last pic is Styx a month or so ago (when I had still assumed he was a "she" lol)
It's funny how much he looks like a completely different spider now.

Thanks for looking! I know they're not the best pics, but I had to share :-)
P.s. if anyone has any info on male T keeping that would be awesome... I'm mostly worried about him trying to escape to "find a mate"... especially since now he can magically climb the glass all of a sudden... Also, anyone know approximately how long he has left? I've heard a lot of different info on this subject.
Thanks again!
