This was cool!
I just helped my het albino male, Sprite, shed out as he had only gotten his head shed off but not the body. After about an hour in a damp pillowcase with a wet washcloth, I pulled him out and began working on the neck. At first he was helping me work it off, but after about 3-4 inches he just totally relaxed, with nothing moving except his tongue, eyes, and slowly turning his head to watch the cats. He was all kicked back and chill with an attitude of "I'll just sit back and let her do all the work." I've never had one do this with me (well, I really seldom have to help one shed, it's been months and months!)
Now, I knew from when I first got him last Friday night that he was very comfortable with being handled. He was fully opaque/blue yet didn't shy or startle from being picked up. I just didn't think he would be this comfortable since I am a new person and he has only been here a week, and I barely handled him letting him settle in. Wow! I love this snake's personality! How could I not love these snakes?
