Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Hi John, thank you for the feedback!
He's on the second story of my house and no where near my other snakes, but I am still monitoring them.
Yeah I looked into green urates, but couldn't find a lot of clear info and some ppl mentioned liver issues or others said it was normal so I am baffled. I hope the vet will be able to clear things up and let me know if it's ok to feed him again or wait the 2 wks.

Hi,
Late update on how my hognose is doing.
I took him to the vet and they said he was healthy, but the picture of his poop was odd and they requested a fecal. He didn't want to eat for me that week. He ate for me the week after and I got the fecal to the vet and his results came out clear!
Still don't know what to make of the green urate, but he may have regurgitated and that's why he didn't want to eat again. But he doesn't have mites anymore and as long as he's healthy, I am happy!
Thank you for your help and suggestions!!

Hi, my baby western hognose also pooped a light green substance. Did the vet say this was a an issue or is this normal? The only thing different with my snake is he does not have mites and he had eaten the day before so I don’t know why there would be stomach acid in his poop. I also didn’t find a regurgitated mice in his enclosure and I looked for it for a very lone time. Thanks for your help!

Hi,
The vet just said the picture of his "poop" was odd. The sample I turned in did have a little green on the urate, but the poop part looked normal and it came out clear. His urates and poops are completely normal now.
How long have you had your baby hognose? Is this his first time pooping for you or is the change out of nowhere? I would keep monitoring his poop and give the vet a fecal sample if the green persists. Mine started having normal urates after the 3rd feeding, but he's only fed once every two weeks.
