Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Morph resesrch is killing me with BS!
How doI sort out the truth from BS?
Ok, short 411: I bought my big boas, planning to breed them, but when i realized I didnt even know what morphs would be born, I screamed rookie move, and was told to do research on genetics. Well I have and my brain thoroughly hurts. It's the scientific words but 90% is trying to sort out locale, color, pattern, and BULLS***! So if you don't mind I'm going list some morphs, or "words" and if it is a morph maybe, please describe or pic, and if its BS just tell me. Now I know some of these are BP morphs, but I have read where people swear they are boa morphs to!
Here we go:
Luecy
Jungle
Piebald
Arbesque
Lipstick (i know the is real but what makes it a lipstick and not just an albino)
There is more but this is all off top of my head. I can always ask later I guess. There is only one way to learn, and that's by asking questions!
Thank you in advance to any replies.
Respectfully,
Betty Mae Scott

Betty,
The lipstick line was started by putting lipstick on the lips of boas. You can use red, black, or hot pink only as any other colors would kill the snake. You have to put it on weekly during the boas second year of life for it to work. If you use red, you will get redder saddles, if you use black it will be anerystic black looking saddles, hot pink will get you in the door. Hope this helps.

Betty,
I'm sorry, but i'm bored at work and thought that was funny as heck
The lipstick wont work.
It might be easier for us to see your snakes and let you know what you might have as us trying to post a zillion pictures on here, even though that's what i did earlier.

It might make it easier to just learn about the genetics of boas first as trying to figure out boas and ball pythons at the same time. A good way to see what color and pattern differences there are is just looking in the classified section.

My snakes I know the morphs of, so that's not what I need help with. Thanks to Rick and Harold I now know what litter (hopefully if hets prove out) to expect. I want more education in the morph field in general. Knowledge is power my friend, and who doesn't love power lol

If I look at classified I'll go into debt lol the genetics I think I have pretty good, but what ticks me off is when someone says (example) "coral albino" albino boa with coral color saddles, but then there is a pic of a coral that has no pink/coral saddles. So what makes a jungle a jungle, a lipstick a lipstick, an abetsque what ever it is, what makes purple polls dotted albino a flipping purple polls dotted albino? See what I mean?
