Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

A yellow belly slider?
Color in adults fades to a muted olive green color. Some older individuals (especially males) become melanistic, appearing almost black with few visible markings. The carapace is oval and flattened with a weak keel.

The carapace is oval and flattened with a weak keel. The plastron is yellow with dark markings in the center of each scute. Tr achemys scripta scripta (yellow-bellied slider) has a yellow blotch behind each eye which may join the neck stripe, but is usually only evident in juveniles and females. (Taken form the same web sight as above.) I think this is an old male. Most of the color disappears later in life.
