I bought a cham from Charlie Dube last month. My overall feeling regarding the transaction is mixed.
The cham was advertised as an adult female ambilobe panther. Charlie shipped when he said he would, so that part was ok. He shipped in a box without any styrofoam lining, and simply put the cham in a container, surrounded it with styrofoam peanuts, and put in a heat pack. Given that it was early March and he's in New Jersey, I figured we were lucky the cham made it here alive.
As far as the cham itself is concerned, I told Charlie that I was disappointed in it's size. It was only 3.5" snout to vent, which I don't consider to be adult. I have a 5 month old ambilobe that is larger than that. I contacted Charlie a few days after the sale and asked for a partial refund since the cham didn't appear to be an adult. He refused, saying that it is an adult and I should have said something immediately after receiving it. I sent back picks of several adults (5" snout to vent), and one of the cham he sent, to show my point. He didn't return my emails.
So my overall opinion - Charlie does appear to be an honest person. However, get a length and weight on the cham before sending any money, and then wait for a really warm day in NJ before you let him ship. Make sure you ask him his policy on a DOA just in case his packing skills don't improve.
