Solid Yolk Babies

Well, 5 of the 8 babies in my recent Salmontine x Salmontine litter died. All of which had big, hard bellies full of yolk. I made sure they had access to a high temp area to thermoregulate, but they dropped off, one by one, between 2 and 3 days of age. The only silver lining is that the three survivors all seem healthy and happen to be the 2 probable supers and the "chocolaty" one (the 3 best babies in the litter).

It was a depressing few days, but we shall march on. Boa breeding is not for the faint of heart.

Sorry to hear that, Ken. :-( Glad to hear the last three are well.
