Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

new reptile community email virus???
Ok, I know these email viruses have been going around the reptile community for quite sometime now...but anyone starting to get what looks like porn emails from other reptile people???? I just got a "look at my hot girlfriend..." email with a large attachment from Xtreme! I deleted it--but thought I'd ask around...that is, unless it was a real email...LOL

Email viruses take email addresses out of webpages that have been viewed on an infected computer and in the address book of an infected computer. Now if a reptile enthusiast were to be infected the chances are that they would contain a larger percentage of viewed webpages and addresses related to herps. Since these addresses are usually faked it would seem like these viruses are from herp companies (since the virus gets the "from" email addresses from the same source as the "to" addresses).
I do see a larger percentage from herp related addresses but I think this is more because of my interests than anything else (a BMW enthusiasts would be "getting" a larger percentage of viruses from car related companies)
