Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

My axolotl is now a candidate for an alien life form and I have the blurry photo to prove it!
She has the GFP (glow gene) but does not like to hold still under a black light for photos. My new theory is that the black light causes her retina to glow and that's got to freak her out.
Here are some shots in normal light, the glow gene is green in normal light and you can see the green through her pupils.
I keep her in a wine cooler because they like their temp in the 50 degree range.
That was my idea. I was making an incubator out of one for ball python eggs and thought to myself..."Hey! I could have an axolotl if I put a tank in one of these things!". I always wanted an axolotl but the only place for it would be in reptile room which of course is on the warm side.
