Albino Savannah Monitor

Hey guys I was looking for an Albino Savannah Monitor. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get one and about how much it would run me? Also, can I breed a Savannah monitor with any other monitor besides a savannah? For example like a black throat or a white throat monitor? And if I can't breed them can they still live together without hurting one another? Thanks for any help that is given.

I haven't seen albino savannahs available...don't think I've heard of one existing, for that matter. There was an albino nile monitor being offered a while back...I don't recall the price, but it was well over $20,000 (still interested?)

Breeding a savannah to another species of monitor...why would you want to?

Housing them together - While not the best idea, it can be done if they are relatively close in size (which can happen for a brief time, but the both the black and whitethroat will get much larger than the savannah)...but don't be surprised if there are scuffles. You'd be smart to separate them for feeding, but it can be done in the same enclosure if you are diligent and fast...and don't mind having to pull them apart.

**note** My response about cohabiting was specifically directed at the monitors you mentioned. It should be clear that species with different requirements (most of them) should not be housed together, even temporarily.

AUBREY'S REPTILES
Someone had one at the NARBC show at Tinley Park, but I 'm not sure who it was. I talked to one of the vendors and they said it was a wild caught specimen that they were going to breed once it got to size..It was a very beautiul looking animal with what I'm sure will be a heafty price tag.

Yeah, I saw the Albino at that Narbc show in Tinley Park last year, and ever since I saw it I have wanted it. The whole black throat/white throat thing was just an idea someone brought up to me, but I didn't think it was a good idea either, but I figured I'd just mention it. I was pretty sure that they did get bigger and whatnot so that wasn't that dissappointing finding out that it wasn't a good idea. I'd be willing to pay a hefty price for that Albino though... but I've been hearing that they were pretty rare, and an average "joe" like me probably couldn't get his hands on one... Oh well... I was just curious, thanks guys for all the help. -Art-
