New here

Hey everyone,

I have recently gotten my first snake in a LONG time. I have a beautiful Mexican Black king snake and am looking to get a female as well. So if anyone knows where a year old or younger female is available that's be very appreciated.

I'm on several sites waiting list for young females.

Other then that I also have 4 praying mantids. 1 giant African, 2 Asian, and 1 ghost. They're pretty cool little critters to have.

Wish I could help you, I used to have Mexican Black kings, they are my favorite king snakes, great choice!
I've never kept praying mantids, but I enjoy finding them in my yard. (nothing exotic like yours, of course) How long can they live?

HI and welcome

Re your search for a Mexican Black Kingsnake, you'd probably do well to post a wanted ad in the Kingsnake forum:

Good luck!

Mantids live for about a years worth of time. You get them at about L2 from a hobbyist then raise them to adulthood. There are some really cool looking ones like the ghost mantis, orchid mantis, and spiny flower mantis. Some get really large like the Giant African Mantis I have, or they can live in a 32 oz cub their whole life like the ghost or other flower esk mantids. You feed them fruit flies when their smaller and slowly bump up the ones that get bigger to feeding them dubia roaches or Blue bottle flies. Very fun.
