Just out of curiosity...

This is really out of plain curiosity, as I don't have any plans for her right now...It's just something that has been bugging me since I got her, and especially since she started producing babies

I have a female leo who appears to be just a regular normal. However, When I first bought her, the breeder told me she was from a tang line, and it wasn't too difficult to believe, since she looked like this....

However, those spots filled in, and she now looks like this:

Now...even when bred to this guy:

She produces Little ones that look like this at first:

and this

So....what are the chances of getting some tang babies if she is bred with a tang male? Is she from a tang line, and what would need to be done to be able to produce nice babies from her? In the future I might want to dabble with it...but for now...I don't plan to...but just out of curiosity....??? Sorry to bug you guys ops:

A lot of females will gain spots and lose color intensity with age and the rigors of breeding. Looking at her babies its clear that she probably did come from a tang lineage. I think that your chances are good of producing some very attractive offspring if she was paired with a tang male.

Pair her up with a very nice tang male. Go all out, don't skimp on the male. She does have tang in her, it is visual, but if you get a very very orange screaming male, its going to make her babies a bit more orangey The best way to explain line bred traits is you breed two adults together and the babies color TENDS to fall in between that of the mother and father.

Does that make sense?
