Karma?

Perhaps I missed the memo on some changes to giving and receiving karma points. But...is there any reason I cannot give out negative karma for posts? I can receive them but I cannot give them. At this time I am only able to give good karma points for posts.

You have a "Participant" level membership, which does not allow you to give out negative karma. You'd need to upgrade one level to "Contributor" to do that.

Well there must be a glitch in the system then because I received negative karma from a unpaid member last week?

Dunno Laura, I was just going by what the chart said. Maybe one of the site mods, or Rich, can clear that up?

Hey Laura, was the little box thingy next to the comment grey or red? If it was red, then it was actual negative Karma that counted towards your points, if it was grey, while the comment may have been nasty, it was neutral and didn't count towards your point total.

I am thinking that maybe some of the "paid" members are not getting or have requested not to have the coin on?
I have seen paid participant (something to that effect)under their screen names on people who are using the ads but I do not always see coins.

Yes, theres an option to do that in the User CP i believe.... i was told how to do it, if one wanted to hide them. But i dont remember exactly how...

Yes, you can at Contributor level.
