Breeding pair housed together

I know most recommend not housing a breeding pair together, and only introducing them during mating season. What do you guys do, personally? Also, have any of you had success with a pair that is always together?

Separate. Unless you can build a very large enclosure where they don't have constant close contact outside of breeding season I see no reason to keep them together. I always worry more with arboreal species like GTPs and ETBs since they're more sensitive than, say, carpets and ATBs.

Maintaining proper heat and humidity in a larger enclosure can be more of a pain, more work, and again, the whole sensitive species thing... but if you're willing to stay on top of it then go for it.

By the way, I grew up in East Windsor nice to see other New England herpers, wish I had known you when I lived back home!

Just as a general rule, I always have separate caging for ALL my reptiles. Wether they are snakes or lizards. The only time I have 2 animals in 1 cage is for breeding. Snakes by nature are solitary animals. Usually when you house 2 together even for breeding it seems to stress out certain animals.
