What is the nature of the Motley gene in Cornsnakes? If it's codominant like in Boa Constrictor, I'd guess the stripe is just the full motley expression. I don't know anything about corn colors either, except it obviously looks Amel.

Nice looking critters.

They are nice-looking snakes!

FYI -- motley is recessive to normal, striped is recessive to normal, and motley is more or less dominant to striped. It's a case of multiple alleles.

motley/stripe (or motley-stripe) can also mean two different things...

ms (het for both Motley & Stripe)
or
mm (striped variety of Motley)

Photo #1 looks to be a pair of Caramel Motleys
Photo #2 looks like an Amel or Butter Stripe (Amel isn't possible as the parents were Caramel)
Photo #3 looks to be a Caramel Motley
Photo #4 looks to be a Butter Motley-Stripe

The flash of your camera appears to have washed out the colors (and perhaps the Caramels are in shed). When Caramel Motleys first hatch out, it can be difficult to tell the difference between them and Normals...Their are very small differences. I will see if I can locate photos of my newly hatched Caramel Motleys for you to see the difference 2 months provide in color change. I have also noticed that with adult Caramel Motleys, some are tan, some are "greenish," and some are copper.
