Spelling & Grammar 101 lessons in chat!

If you've been in the FC chat, you'll notice I have the day shift. I'm thinking of starting a new room, and perhaps I'll get Webslave to make it a permanent one if it catches on. I'll even change my name to Prof_Jungle_Mist!

Here are some of the problems that will be resolved:

"I just bought two new snakes! There so cute! I look forward to getting them tomorrow."

If you can't see what's wrong with this sentence, find me and I'll clue you in.

"As soon as they come in, were going to go pick them up a nice size hidebox."

I'm lost. If you WERE going to pick up a hidebox, what the heck does that have to do with them coming in?

"I lost my snake! I don't know were he could have went to!"

Same problem, different situation

I think there's something wrong with my snake. He doesn't flick his tounge. What do I do?

Where's something wrong with your snake? Huh? And I'm not sure what you do. I've never had a snake with a tounge... Does it hurt?

"So your going? What time?"

Umm...actually it's not my going, no. Is it yours? Maybe someone left it there by accident.

Also, if I see any more ads that say something like "I'm willing to take your unwanted snakes. I will even pay shipping. Will take anything and give them a good home." I'll vomit. If you'll pay shipping and take anything, then just go to a store and pay the $25 for a cornsnake. Besides, I don't give up our animals to good homes, I always look for the poor ones. I say "are you only going to feed it once a month, keep it in a jar under your bed, and walk around the neighborhood with it dangling in your hands? GREAT! He's yours!"

(btw...I translated that ad. Most say "Im wiling 2 take UR unwated snakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will even pay shiping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! Will take anythign and give then a good home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!")

C'mon...!...raise your hands! Who here has shipped an animal to one of these kids? Don't be shy!

Anyhow. Will think about having to get payed, thought. If your not understanding what the problem is or dont see anything wrong with the situations above or just could care less, come and let me know. I think I can help U. (This added for the benefit of those who most likely need to be in the new room.)

I know that the spelling/grammar difficulties have been brought up many times. I don't wish to sound like a snob, I really don't. However, these things drive me insane and ENGLISH IS NOT EVEN MY PRIMARY LANGUAGE!

What say you, Darin? Could you care less?
