Free non-feeder Mexican Rosy boa baby.

Adopted. No longer available.
Born July 31st and has so far refused all attempts to feed him. He is still maintaining weight decently. Fairly sure it's a male but no guarantee on that. Starting to think someone else might have better luck getting him to eat, so I'm offering him free to someone experienced with starting baby snakes. Willing to drive a fair distance to meet, longer distance might charge a small gas fee. Located in Pocatello ID. Can ship him through SYR if you pay the actual shipping charges. Should be between $40 to $60. Pictures are from when he was 3 days old.

Rosy's are generally hardy, and 'good to go' right off the bat with dead/ft'd/live pinks gently tapped on head to upset snake, then tapped on body with forceps till they turn around and hit and coil it? Is this baby from somebody, or your offspring from a pairing you did?

I can run video for you of feeding tiny Rosys. It's a trip for sure, but once done/seen its cake... Lemme know. I'll watch this thread for a minute. I hate to see a baby waste out.

This is a baby I produced, one of six. This was my first litter of snake babies of any kind. Three of them are now eating F/T consistently and two ate a live pink a few attempts ago but have refused F/T the last three attempts. I would have tried live with them again but my supplier has been out, one reason I've started thinking of breeding my own. I've tried about half the tricks I've ever heard of on this guy including slap or tease feeding but have not had any luck so far.

Without doubt.. Eliminate the drama, if you're producing reptiles, ya should be 'producing' their food. It makes it so much simpler, but, rodents can be a major turnoff to mass produce! They stink! So I'm with those that buy frozen, not me though.

Sounds like you got it licked. I'm gonna sign off this thread, send me a PM if you'd like to see a video of what I do.. But then again, I've only been keeping Rosy's for about 25 yrs plus. Maybe more if I had more memory... Happy trails!
