Dissecting eggs?

My bred female laid as many of you know. Well a few months ago we rescued a 2 year old female beardie from a home that never used any calcium. Today We noticed she laid about 7 eggs in the cage. They were not buried and she appeared to just lay them as she was on her stick. She for sure has never been bred but why would she lay now?

So we decided since they couldn't be fertile why not see what was inside. Just a bunch of yellow goey stuff. But it raised a question. If we were to open a newly laid fertile egg, What would we see? Would it be the same?

Ok off subject. The eggs we are incubating, the humidity is way too low..50%...we have water in the bottom and the temp right, what else can we do to raise it? The eggs have been at this for 4 days is it too late? We have the containers covered with lids ( and holes) I think the humidity might be higher in the containers but we can't put the gauge in there

Thanks again,
Desiree
