Neutered Iguana

Does anyone actually have a neutered male green iguana? Has his attitude changed at all? Around how much would that cost anyway?

Asking cause I have a pair and I don't want eggs... and she's not acting like she wants any breeding going on but he's still biting on her and it's tearing her neck up. I got her to be his companion (I know it's not necessary) and because she's beautiful. They have a big enough enclosure or else they'd be at each other's throats all day long; two seperate basking spots, the works. Just every once in a while I'll come home and she's got a new gash on the back of her neck.

I would honestly separated them whether he was neutored or not. A lot of Igs tend to fight no matter what.

I do not have a neutored male but I do have a spayed female and it cost me $700. It would most likely be cheaper for a male because it's easier and my female had 29 unfertile eggs they had to remove. It also depends on your vet, if you call them I'm sure the could give you a quote.

Here is also a link aabout neutored males, there is probably some other related issues on that site too. Good luck.
