Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

no deposit put down at all - an agreement made to pay at a price on the day of shipping - with bigred subsequently asking for more money and then selling to someone else for a higher price.

Both of you put up or shut up. Paul, you shouldn't have asked Sean for more money after agreeing on a price, rather than just saying, "I've got someone else interested, and the first one who puts a deposit down gets them," being that you had already agreed upon a price with Sean. But, if you didn't like his offer, and since he didn't put a deposit down, you could have easily said, "Sorry, I've got someone who is willing to pay a deposit (or in full whichever), and they're getting first priority."
Sean, you didn't put a deposit down, so you lost out. Simple as that.
