Our First Hatchlings Enter The World!

We knew the eggs were well on the way . . .

and the big moment was coming soon when we saw the eggs start to sweat!

On April 1st we saw little heads and jumped for joy - this was no April Fools Joke!

Welcome to the world . . . First order of business - SLEEP

WOW! Amazing photos! My favorite is the one where you candled the egg. That is wild to see up close and with all that detail. The beardies are nice too.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone! Watching them eat for the first time today was quite entertaining as well. They are all very curious about this whole cricket thing. It's like they're thinking; Are you my Food or my Friend?? But they finally got the idea and munched the crickets down.

I love watching for that one brave one in the group that finally decides to take the dive at a cricket. Then everyone else soon follows. Get the veggies in there now also so they can start getting used to them. Within the next week, 2 at the latest, that one brave one will take a dive at the veggies and the rest will follow suit as well. Then you get a bunch of funny green faced babies running around.

Our little babies are 3 weeks old now and are getting bigger by the minute! They've gone swimming and visited the outside world to get some real Florida sun. One thing that's really disturbing though is the positions that they sleep in. Now how can THAT be comfortable???
