Cresties do not regenerate their tails. If a tail has fallen off, or gotten bit off the crestie will remain like that for the remainder of his life. They can be bred with regenerated tails, though

Not a Problem

Missing tails are usually not a hinderance to any activity of a crested. When they were researched in the wild all the adults found were tailess. They believed that they lost their tails during breeding.

As long as the tail is fully healed, and the gecko is the proper size and weight and is healthy, then there shouldn't be a problem breeding. The only thing you might want to consider is how the crested lost its tail. If it lost it while in your care, then maybe try to figure out how to prevent it from happening again if it was something to do with the enclosure or handling. If it happened in breeding, then there's not much that you can do about it!

I have a tailess female that laid many clutches this season for me with no problems relating to her tail.

Goodluck!

Crested Geckos lose their tail, and they do not grow back. It does not have an effect on either sex during breeding (or most of the other time as well).

You won't have a problem with a tailless male either, unless the loss of his tail also included some loss of his 'package', which I highly doubt a crested would survive through to breed.

The tail really serves no purpose in breeding, so missing it has no affect. Health, age, weight are the factors you should be concerned with if anything.
