I have a female (Gutlei) escaped last night! Just to refresh everyone's memory, my apartment is under partial renovation, and my geckos and I are still staying at my parent's place. My geckos certainly are not happy with their temporary home, since they used to live in large glass tanks with climbing logs and everything...and now just a shoe-box sized plastic container with one hide
...
Well, after a whole month of investigation and practices, Gutlei, my smallest female, figured out how to escape, SMART GIRL! Even my 10" male can't get out, and Gutlei, being a small 55g 7" girl beat everyone else and managed to escape!!
Basically, she needs to climb to the top of her hide, push the lid up and forward with tippy toe in order to create a small opening. She did it!! And scared the crap out of me this morning when I found out!! Luckily, its very humid here these few days and I had the air-con turned on through the night, so bedroom door is closed. I searched briefly and almost found her immediately under a desk. Believe me, my hands were shaking when I picked her up. She seems fine although a little cold; now I need to lock down all the lids to make sure everyone stays in their container until we can go home hopefully in a week's time.
Here is a picture of my "darkling darling":
