Bello
Since its your first Boa, a Hog Island Boa would be perfect! When I got my first Boa I co a male of the bigger type, and he grew to 55lbs! I had him for 22 years. I'm not a breeder he was my pet. At the time the internet was new and pc,s cost too much. Since then I've learned alot.
A Hog is gentle, doesn't bite and first grow much more than 4-5 feet, but much smaller in girth.
Best to Feed a bit smaller in girth of the snake.
I have a female who is almost mature, at close to four years old.
she is sweet and has never bit me.
I feed her frozen thawed twice a month, small rats. she eats well. she's been well cared for and has the best equipyment. I keep her enclosure around 90 on the hot end and 80 on the cooler. She doesn't like it too hot. I give her bottled water. Reason I'm going to sell her is, I also have her brother, who she was housed with for 3 and half years but now, I had to remove her, because, she's close to breeding age. I don't want babies!!!
Plus in-breeding is bad!! I bought them from a very good breeder. I even have all their info printed out from that breeder.I forget his name off hand.
I'll be putting her on here soon. I need to get $250 for her. I payed more than that 3 years ago. Let me know if you want her. Also what you know about snakes. I won't let her go to a child.
