Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I'd go with a male to start. Smaller size and more manageable. Unless you wanna spend a little more for a dwarf/super dwarf. And I agree with you Jim, tiger reticent will always have a place in my heart. There just behind the purple albino reg. I've seen "closet/garage" retic breeders keep there big girls in the big melamine cages. I believe they were 6'x18"x2' so you don't need the master bedroom just for your retic hehe. I find reticent very rewarding to keep. Hope this helps. :x

The cage Jim mention and the pm I sent is normal. Mine range from 7 to 8 feet long and 2 to 3.5 feet deep. All 2 feet in height. 3.5 feet deep is a pain in the a... to clean though.

Retics first clutch ranges from 16-40(40 if your lucky ) after first year can jump up to 80(although rare can get above 80) dwarfs and super dwarfs are fewer but don't have a number.

Ive had both, been bitten by a both. I love retics, the normal tiger for sure.
My burm sasha nailed my hand as i was getting her out of the bath, coiled on my arm and everything. She let go after a minute or so realizing i wasnt a rabbit.she was about 11 feet and around 80 lbs. i suppose its her way of saying bath time isnt over yet.Shes a great animal though.
Retics are more active and most have a hardcore feeding response, but i seem to be lucky enough to never get bite outside of feeding time and never even been struck at by my big guys.(i suppose the little ones are alot more hungry?)
But i must agree the burms are couch potatoes, retics are oscar mike 22/7.
