Baking up

I was told that judging by the size of her follicles my het pied female was still good to breed. The way this season is going I figured it was in my best interest to do just that to make sure I get more eggs on the ground this season. Since I returned the het pied male she was breeding with on a breeder loan I had to make a decision. So I rolled ths dice. Two days ago this female locked with a het lav albino, this morning she was locked with the cinnabee in the picture. I know due to the confusion of who the sire might be none of these will be on the market till they are proven out some years from now. But it should make things a little more interesting around here for the next couple years. ( This lil fellas under a year old and only 500 g. This is the smallest breeder I have had in my collection thus far. )

What is with the follicle size, my assumption is that if they haven't ovulated then it's not too late to breed.
I got a lock up within 3 days of ovulation this year, lol.

I've heard people say exactly what you are saying and i've heard a few say after follicles reach a certain size that there is no point to continue breeding. I would love for someone who can clarify this because frankly the two opinions have me confused.
