First Python

I think I have a fairly good idea where the numbers will fly on this one, but I will toss it out there anyway:

For the record - my first was an Afrock, and they remain one of my all time favorites (even though I haven't had one of my own for about 7-8 years)

Ball python.

Thats when I didn't know about all of these other pythons though .

Just too bad I can't keep constrictors over 6' in this state.

My first was a Ball Python. Always liked having a bulkier snake, that's why never went for corns or kings, but also didnt want something that grew 6foot+.

Next in line is an IJ carpet I think Very pretty snakes, and still under 6 foot!

first snake was my dad's bermese (named the same, kinda cool) in a 1 bedroom apartment. had it for a while. forget how big the tank was but he was feeding it rabbits in the bathtub towards the end. gave it to a petting zoo or something like that in oklahoma city.

now i have a ball cuz i read how big berms get and dont want something that big right now. maybe when i get a house and i can let it run (hehehehe) wild in the house or build it a huge enclosure in the house.

Really suprised that the two of you had African Rocks as your first python..they're huuuuge buggers!!

Can only assume you had experience with boas before that?

Not me. Afrock was the first snake I ever bought...after that, I was given a whole bunch of them (rocks) over the years. Most I ever kept at 1 housed was 8. I had a few that were "mine", the rest were rescues that came and went.
