T. - Good for naturalistic tank?

I have 3 dragons, 1 leopard gecko, 5-10k roaches and 1 lazy pacman frog.

I'm looking for a tarantula that can live in a natural (planted) environment. I'd like something large, or very colorful. I was looking a A.versi? I think (very colorful and beautiful T.) But I'd really like something that can just live and be happy in living with some live plants. I really want something that looks real.

or another idea of mine was have a T. Colony. I know that there is at least one type of T that can live together. I can't remember the name, but it would be cool to see them also in a naturalistic enclosure? I think it would be sweet.

Tarantulas are perfect for naturalistic setups. Versi's are very good for these setups as well, but I warn you, for some reason the slings of the avicularia are harder to raise then others. That goes for any avic sling. So, if you are going for an avic of any type, try to get it at about 2 inches and go from there.

With the T colonies, there is one type, and they are pokies. People have tried P.regalis, P.straita, and others, but with different types of success. Some say they lived fine, and others say they cannabilized. You could definitely try it, but don't be suprised if there is one rogue T that eats all the rest.

If I was you go for the avic. One reason, their vemon is way less potent then the pokies. Pokies have some of the worst venom in the hobby.

Hope this helps, if you have any more questions, just ask.
