WHITE means everywhere!
A rare opportunity has caused a down-size and making one of my best keeper females available ( too many females, etc. ).
Over the past 8+ years I've raised [ and hatched in 2013 ] Diamondback Terrapins in fresh water.. and low 1.002 brackish
and up to making 1.010 brackish available for them to choose for themselves.
The only difference I've found is they seem to have less shell issues the higher the brackish.
All will do well in fresh or brackish water.
Some also believe mineral deposits create a "hazed" look -
which may or may not be 'cured' with brackish water.
This beauty was raised in fresh water with a pinch of salt from hatchling in 2013. Obviously no mineral deposits are present!
That perfect growth is a result of pellet diet!
The sun was in and out so a couple of these pics are a little light -
She even has "striped" pants -
Imagine what her first shed will produce?!
She is shy 4" SCL - ALL ABOVE PICS WERE TAKEN July 9th 2014 -
