In need of tricks (ferrets)

So the missus and I are getting a ferret Tomorrow and can't wait to bring her home. I've done tons of youtubeing and googling and have a list of things I want her to be able to do (first off, litter box!)

However, some tricks they won't learn and others I really don't want to invest the time to train (like the high five).

What's tricks do you folks train your ferrets, and what methods work best for you? I'll be putting up some pics of the girl tomorrow cause pics or it didn't happen, ya know?

Also, as a side, what food works best for your pet and how do you transition them? I hear good things about raw foods and feeder rodents, but I know the transition from kibble to meat isn't easy.

I never did tricks with mine. Playing nice and coming when called was about it. I fed Wysong Epigen 90 Starch Free Dry Ferret Food and freeze-dried, chicken livers both available at chewy.com The chicken livers are great for training.

Tricks?! The only thing my ferret ever did was:
- attack the house cats
- escape the cage and crap everywhere but the litter box
- bunker in the dresser drawers and shred the socks
- bite your feet
- squeak and bite if you tried picking it up
- one time it vanished, only to be found a few days later clawing at the neighbor's door
- and it smelled.

we had a bad experience. but maybe ours was just psychotic, and they're all actually sweet little angels. good luck.

Picture update

We've currently got her potty trained but I've seen some that come when called, sit up on their back legs, roll over, and a few other things.

She's quite big - did you get her as an adult?

Yeah I picked her up off some guy in the area with her cage. Poor thing was infested with fleas but we washed them out and treated her. I assume she's around 1 year maybe 2, she's not as big as the pictures make her seem.
