I'm new with many questions :)

Hello everyone,

I currently live in Virginia, I was born and raised in Jamaica where I grew up with lots of golden geckos (wild) living in our home. I always had a soft spot for lizards and snakes because they are just so adorable and they ate bugs (which I hate). Since I have been living in the US I have not had a pet, but I am also terribly allergic to anything with fur, so I recently adopted a little 2 month old western hognose that I can love on, it was since this adoption that I realized I have more questions even after my initial research that there doesn't seem to be an answer for no matter where I look, and so I decided to join this forum after all my lurking.

I have to ask: what made you move from Jamaica to Virginia, USA? I really don't like insects, unless, they are going to be fed to another critter, I own. So, I completely understand why you had the wild Gekko badenii in your home, when you lived in Jamaica.

I am sorry about your severe allergies, but, I am very glad you got a pet. One of my favorite snakes are Heterodon nasicus.

I am fairly sure, if, you post your questions, in the appropriate part of the message board, someone will be able to answer them.
