I'd say that I chose not to remain where I was. This drab desert region just happened to be my only viable option. All in all, still a huge upgrade in circumstances.

I actually enjoy the winter because it's the only time I can go snow boarding

It has generally been moderate weather here recently. Have not used a heater so far. I bought a new coat (lost the old one to the flood a couple months back) and have only worn it once.

I'm not doing to bad this year (Knock on wood) with daytime temps staying in the mid 50's. Yesterday I cleaned out my rat tubs in a T shirt and shorts with the sun shining. I wasn't upset. The snow is coming though. I'm dreading it. I'm already running heaters in my shop and my garage... I wish I'd have landed somewhere farther South.

I don’t really like winter but I but I don’t hate it.
I’m about 45 minutes east of San Francisco with out Friday afternoon

rush hour traffic.
Beautiful micro climate mountain valley area.
Winter hmmm.. so so ok.
We get snow 15 minutes away up the mountain several times a year.
I can see snow from my kitchen window so I dig that.
I just hate the early nights.
Don’t really dig winter but the diving is awesome.
No algae bloom in the water equals high visibility and in my opinion Nor Cal ( Monterey and Mendocino) has some of the best divining to be found.
Raking leaves and cleaning the creek is a pain in the butt though.
Summer is kinda nice but a bit to hot for a week or two.
The spring however does it for me.
I am a spring kinda guy.
I love the spring.

I love the spring.
I live in Vernal Utah.
Winter temps dip below zero and can stay there for weeks.
Fog rolls in and blocks out the sun.
Shallow lakes freeze completely.
Freezing rains turn the road into ice skating rinks.
We can get 2 to 3 feet of snow overnight.
A bad storm can shut down all major roads into and out of town.
Gas prices go up for no reason at all.
Cars freeze shut.
Spring means mud... Not a problem in town but when you work in the middle of no where it gets sucky.

I'm a summer person lol.

Hi Scott,
Yeah mud really is unpleasant.
No way to say it nicely.
It just sucks.
There is very little of my property protected from it.
We have about 6 critters that come in and out depending on their needs and then there is the chickens🙁.
We also have new flooring though out the house, so it kind sucks to be me right about now.
That said our winter is your spring I think.
Spring here is sunny and about 75 or so degrees and it’s is dry for the most part...no mud and just a couple sprinkles.
Love it.
Winter is a couple days at the high 20’s or low 30’s but most is at 65 degrees with rain and butt load of leaf clean up.
BTW I Love Utah.
Andy.

Ugghh, we may get some frost over the weekend here. Connie and I just put two more citrus trees in the ground yesterday, so we may have to protect them.

Rain is supposed to begin tonight and continue on through Friday night if the forecast is accurate.

I HATE winter. It’s the absolute worst. I’m a summer person and I’d much rather be hot than have this -3 BS.
