That is horrid advice as well. The snake is eating, just not what you want her to eat. You don't force or syringe feed a snake that's eating! People amaze me sometimes...

Oh god! I guess I should have explained that I don't think I mentioned it lol.

I didn't have any live feeders to give it lol or it would have been eating.
It was the only one out of all the snake here that HAD to have live mice.
I raise rats but had no need to breed mice. But when I seen that this little one wasn't going to eat f/t I went to the pet store and bought 15 live mice for breeding BUT they when young mice so it took them little over a month to grow and then have babies which one finally did like right after DAND gave his advice.

The pet store didn't have any live pinkies that we could buy and I don't have any friends that raise mice either so I was stuck until one of these mice gave birth.

Thanks Shawn, I was worried about her but she finally did eat. I just hope it works again next time lol. I still have live pinkies and will try the same trick till she completely switches over.

Thanks
Amanda

None of that matters...It was still horrid advice. Force or syringe feeding should not be considered (IMO, never considered) until a hatchling is 8-12 weeks into not eating. The snake was not a non-feeder, so neither of those options should have been on the table at all.

Regardless, you've had success with the snake...So mostly this information is for those reading the thread so that they understand what not to do.

Personally all of my corns in my collection would eat a stuffed animal if any type of rodent even looked at it funny...

With that said in my experience the best way to transfer from live to frozen thawed is the middle wich is live stunned.

I know this is a brutal process, but if it's important that you switch a snakes feeding then it may be the thing to try. I keep a cinder block in my snake room for stunning rats, or asf's. You just swing them by the tail quickly making sure their neck is struck by the edge of the block. As the rat/mouse is still twitching introduce it to your corn, and it will become interested and consume the prey item. After a few feeding sessions like this your snake will then likely be enticed by a frozen thawed ( to about 101 degrees ) item that is simply wiggled around by forceps or tongs.
