Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Hog Island boas are some of the best boas out there. I really like them. Now I have to bring out one of my pics LOL... I have 1.3 100% pure Hog Ilsand boas, but sone I will have 2.3 Hog Island boas. 1.1 being adults 1 being a yearling (My holdback) and the other 1 about 3 mouths old.
My female Holdback Hog Island boa from my 05 littler from a Sears line female to a Lemke line male. Here she is in dark phase.
Thanks, Josh

I'm thinking of a just getting a male now. The 20 L would have been for both. Now I have a dumb ?, what does bci stand for? I just can't seem to come up with the name for that. thanks again for everything.

BCI = Boa constrictor imperator. genus, species, subspecies
If your plans eventually include having a male and female (with the intent of breeding), I would recommend getting the female first...males can breed smaller and younger, so you wouldn't be starting off at square one in a couple years.

Techgirl,
Did you mean 20 gallon tank? Just wondering because a 20L tank would be close to 1/4th the size of a 20 gallon tank.
I think a hogg is a great choice. They are awesome animals, and some of the easiest to care for.

Damian - I believe she was referring to a 20 long (30x12, if memory serves). That designation is used to differentiate it from the 20 tall, which has the same floor area as a 15 gal (24x12,?)

The 20 long will be fine for quite a while - of course, if you get two, lol...

Next week is the big day!!!
I'll be getting my hogg on the following Sunday!!! They all have taken 2 meals and he wants to feed them one more time before they go to their respective homes. I did decide on a male. If I do wish to breed later on, he does have access to unrelated females that are older. I can't wait to get him!!!! Now I have to think of a name, get his tank ready, prepare the boyfriend for another animal in the house, gush like a school girl, etc...lol.
