No, your example doesn't fit here. I had NO idea that to mention that site was taboo. I don't regularly/normally post here. Just look at my post count and year of joining up.

It's like this:
Driving into a city you have been to but aren't all that familiar with. Then getting stopped by a cop for passing a green car since, obviously to anyone except you, passing green cars is illegal here in this town. There is no sign or actual "law" written down that passing green cars is illegal, it's just how things are. And when you ask about it, the cop and passerby's slap you down and ignore your questions, calling you a troll and saying you passed the green car only to cause trouble.

While I understand that rules can and will be made by the owner for whatever purposes, wouldn't it make sense to have those rules posted so that threads like this don't have to be started?

And really, if you think I came in here to troll, why now? I have been a member here since 03-09-2009 and if you think that I sat around waiting for this EXACT moment to "troll" and cause issues....huh. Seriously?

Come on dude, you know what's up if you got the brains of a lemon so stop trying to play it off. You got caught twisting the owner's tail, either man up and take your points or hit the road, but whatever you do, stop the sniveling.
Your assumption that I "know what's up" and that I came here to twist the owner's tail is totally false. See my post above this one.

if your only contribution is to belittle me over something you know nothing about, then please move on.

No, not quite familiar. I said:

I guess that there is no real discussion then. You didn't even answer my questions. :/

Is there no way to have a civil discussion?

And I quoted you exactly, so not sure why you quoted yourself again?
Bolded the part that's relevant to what you said. Being "quite familiar" is to say that I read a lot of the threads there...nope. I don't.

Yup, I signed up in March 2009 and waited until this exact time. Please. If you believe that, then I don't know what to think.

There are many who are asking valid questions about political and financial issues here, it seems as if you are coming here and attempting to hush anyone who voices them.

But let someone else think that I'm doing it? oh...

No, it's more like this:

You are driving a car and do not know the speed limit. A cop pulls you over, says you were speeding, but lets you off with a warning because the speed is not posted. You continue to argue with the cop about something you are now clear on even though the cop understood that you did not know.

"passerby's slap you down and ignore your questions"

No, the passerby's are tired of tourist speeding through their town.

so I guess the rule is: Do NOT name or link TSTCBN*. If you do, you will incur the wrath of the owner. If this thread survives deletion, then my job is partially done. Others in the future will be able to look here and know that there is a certain website that can't be mentioned. Now it's up to them to hopefully never utter that word.

As for the other part, about mending fences and moving past what's in the past and banding together to fight HSUS and idiot govt. laws regarding herps....I guess that's just going to be glossed over. Shame too because we really need to do this.

Webslave, I hope that your herps don't ever get affected, because then you might have to join in.

John - we are not trying to wage a battle with that site...but, due to past issues, Rich has decided that he will not allow his site to be used to send traffic to, or publicize, that site. This is done as simply as possible by using the filter to automatically remove it. Most people catch on fairly easily; when they don't, they're told. We don't want to promote negativity, or kindle what should be dead embers, so we aren't inclined to go into a lot of details just because somebody asks. Sometimes, the answer to WHY is simply BECAUSE. You might want to know more; but that, in and of itself, doesn't guarantee a response...and asking to see where it is officially posted, after you've been specifically told something, certainly isn't going to endear you to anybody. (if anything, it sort of puts you in the pain in the category)

Now, is there really any reason to continue on this subject?

John, the truth is that you came here to call people out and to be as disruptive as possible. No matter what anyone says, you are going to keep it up until you are shown the door.

Are they still getting medals over there for getting banned from this site?

No, because speed limits are a common thing throughout the world. So again, that analogy doesn't fit.

Banning a website from being mentioned is NOT a common thing. This is the first website (herp, computer, etc) that I have ever been to that strictly forbids any mention of another specific website.

And with there being no mention (that I know of..it has yet to be pointed out and a search ends up with 0 results) of this "rule", it's hard to difficult this landmine.
