Trading for the first time

Heh, I don't know if this belongs here or where, but I had a few questions.

I'm trading one animal for another. Basically, I placed the ad, and someone contacted me. She wants to trade, so how should I go about it?

Hi Clara

It is an unwritten rule that the person who initiated the trade ship first. If she offered to trade first, she ships first.

I would agree, except that by posting an add wanting to trade are you not in fact initiating the trade.

I agree with Steve. If I post an animal for trade it seems logical to assume I'm the one initiating the trade. Now if I post it for sale and a second party offers to trade, then in my opinion he should be shipping first.
