You get what you pay for. If you have reviewed chameleon care, the cage, mister and other accessories can run into a bit of money. They are not the easiest critters to maintain UNLESS you do your homework.
If this is your first chameleon, my advice would be to look through the BOI, the Board of Inquiry, on this site, find a reputable breeder, and be prepared to pay market price. Cut rate chams may be a piece of luck, or they may not have been properly cared for and your twenty bucks might net you a pet that will live a couple days.
Research your care, and listen to your reputable breeder's advice. Good luck!
