Meet me..& critique me :)

Hello, I'm sure you've noticed I'm new here and I'm ready for the critiquing . I'll give you my story then you can dig in !

My name is Angie and i have 2 Leos (Gary & Gus) and 1 veiled chameleon (Cammi). My 1st Leo is Gary and she's 1, Gus is now about 5-6 months (i don't really know everyones exact age) and Cammi is a bout a month or two.

I think i have everything going pretty good but you guys seem pretty experienced so i thought I'd run this by you to make sure.
The Leos each have their own tank and this is what they have: rep-ti-carpet for substrate, hide on each side and level, humid hide on the hot sides, things to climb on, calcium, water,& food dishes, UTH, and a blue night heat lamp.
Sound good so far...? Now for the thermometers, i have the zoomeds heat and humidity gauges that you get at the pet store. I have 3 in each tank, 1 on the bottom by the UTH's, 1 at the top on the cool side and a humidity in the center of the tank. So are these good enough to keep the correct temps?
Oh and i have a indoor/outdoor stick that i lay over the UTH to check the floor temps. Okay...let me have it!

Thanks

Oh and i feed them mealies and crickets, and wax for treats every once and awhile. I was thinking of ordering some silkies and butterworms, any good suggestions on where to order from..?

Thanks!

Hmmm... well Im not really sure why anyone will 'let you have it' LOL

Or why people have this idea other forum users are out to bash or scold people. That really is not the case. You see sometimes, people are giving improper care, and/or are not taking the advise that they asked for. It can be frustrating, when there are so many of us doing their best to care for our critters. Sometimes they are nothing more than 'trolls', trying to upset others.

Sounds OK to me, Id loose the dial-type (if thats what it is) thermometers, they are pretty worthless. I recommend digital thermometers, you can use the indoor/outdoor type thats found at most hardware stores.

Dan forgot to tell you that you have to messure the floor temp not the air temps, that's why those thermometers are no good. The floor temp on the hot side should be between 88-93 and cool side between 75-80. Everthing else sound good.

Welcome to Fauna. I'm sure you'll like it here.

Hey welcome to the boards! Everything sounds good. I think Felcia & Dan pretty much hit the only thing that sticks out.

Hey post some pictures when you get time we would love to see your leos and your set up.

It is so nice to see a new comer that as done their research! Good Job!

P.S. I did just think of something, what about vitamins? You will need a multi vitamin. Herpetive is the one we use. We use it about every 5 -7 days dusted on their food.

Sorry, figured since the 'stick' thermometer was mentioned I thought that was known

Yes, you should be commended for doing your research, not be 'critiqued'.

And welcome to Fauna BTW!

Hey there, Angie! Glad to see you here on the Leo Forum! I think the only thing you forgot to mention (even though it's obvious) is how much you love your geckos.

Welcome to Fauna!

Sounds like you're doing a great job! I agree about the digital thermometer - they are more accurate than the little dial types they have at the petstore. I would also recommend a good quality thermostat to help regulate temperatures and prevent overheating.

Most of my geckos love silkworms. :eatpointe I get them from Mulberry Farms - they've given me wonderful customer service! I tried butter worms a while back. I only had a couple of geckos then but they did not like them at all.
