My eggs are not producing offspring they are just getting hard and flakey
I have them in a plastic bin with a small heat pad

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't dubias delivered live not in eggs?

Hosty, you are correct. If you are seeing eggs in a dubia colony, something is definitely off. I would check your temps and humidity.

Humidity might be off, and if you're checking on them too often they will stress and not produce properly.

Been breeding dubia for almost 10 years now. It only had your problem when...

1.) There is not enough protein in the colony. Are your males getting their wings chewed on?
2.) Too many males to females. You need 1 male to every 10 females. You can go as high as 50/50, but more males will fight each other and harass the females. Wings chewed on?
3.) To many checks. Dubias require privacy.
4.) Temps are fluctuating too much. Females will abort if they don't enough heat.
