Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

macklots python?
I've never owned a python and am looking for a cheap, nice snake that won't get more than 10'. I was thinking about a macklots or maybe a spotted python. any opinions? Macklots sound really fun to watch swim and climb. Thanks so much!!

Hmmmmm, let's see - a cheap, nice python that won't get over 10 ft...
spotted (Cape York or regular)
children's
Savu
D'alberts (white-lipped)
macklots (freckled)
blood
ball
carpet (jungle, IJ, coastal, etc)
water
Any/all of the above can be found for under $200 (some significantly less).
About the only comment I will make is that D'alberts probably aren't the best choice for a first python.

I need to have a little talk with my Macklots.
Harald has named a few nice pythons to start out with. What characteristics are you looking for in a python?(besides the two you stated) Any color preferences? Do you want a bulky one, or slimmer? Etc.
