Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Gargoyle Gecko dropped his tail.
I have two gargoyle geckos. ONe male one female. they are about 2 years old now and have been in the same 30 gallon tank since I got them a year ago. 2 months ago we found that the male had dropped his tail. He had been after the female a few times because he wants to mate and shes bored with him so we are figuring they got into a fight. They are now seperated and each has their own enclosure. When his tail broke off it had the usual little stub you see on geckos who have dropped their tail but since then it seems to look like it is growing back. I was told by another gecko person that the tails dont grow back. Do they? lol.

Crested tails do not grow back. Gargoyle tails will. (They should look about the same, but if you look closely, the scales will be a little different. Not as symmetrical, but still nice.) Don't worry, your 'goyle will be beautiful and tailed again in no time.

Yes, gargoyle tails will grow back. You're probably right about how it happened. My female gargoyles are really bad about tail-biting. I have broken up several fights where the female was biting the male's tail and it was very hard to convince her to let go. If I hadn't been right there to stop the fights, the males surely would have lost their tails. Now I house all the gargoyles separately and only put males and females together for mating for a few hours right after dark under supervision, then I separate them.
p.s. the baby gargoyles will also bite off each others tails, so if/when you hatch some, house them individually too!

Thanks for the tips on the babies. My sister is getting these soon and she does want to try to breed them. I will keep that in mind.
