"Pregnant" Boa shed?

I have purchased a redtail boa that was said to already be pregnant. She has shown all of the signs of pregnancy, but shed this morning. She is due in early March. Does anyone know what it means when a pregnant boa sheds during a pregnancy? Or does it mean that she really isn't pregnant?

Thanks.

it's not unheard of for boas to shed half way through gestation, I've had it happen before. doesn't mean anything. (I am of course assuming she actually is gravid...)

She is well past the half way mark though.. She is due this month. Is this still normal?

If she just shed, and is really gravid, I would expect babies within the week. Good luck and keep us posted!!

Here are some pictures of the boa, let me know what you think. I'm pretty sure she's gravid, she's pretty big.

Nope, sure didn't.

You can't paste the local path on your computer the same way you do a URL. But you can scroll down below your post and "manage attachments" this will allow you to nav to them on your computer, and upload them to your post as an attachment.

You can also create an album in your user control panel, upload them to the album, and paste the url to them from there.

Never experienced a gravid female shed until after parturition, but I've heard of it happening a few times.
