That is a BEAUTIFUL painting, Shanti! I dont know if you said it before, maybe i missed it, but what kind of paint are you using? I can't wait to see what the gecko will look like when it's finished. Now it makes me want to start a painting, lol. Havent done one in a long time!

This is an acrylic painting. I'm WAY too messy with oils..I get it all over myself. Not to mention, I don't like the fumes oils have. If you want to know what type, I use Liquitex - it's the best!

Shanti, that painting is JUST awesome! I can't wait until it goes up! I have been out of town and have had limited access to the Net lately so have been missing out . . You truly are a talented artist! Keep up the GREAT work.

coming out very well...I definitely don't paint realistically lol...but base on realism...I started out taking 20 hrs on most drawing and the same or more for paintings...now I paint much more quickly, doing one in 3-4 hrs...sometimes I might go back to just fix a couple things later...
I paint texturally and use oil and acrylic the same way...I haven't used oil since school and class b/c of the fumes that I don't want trapped in my apt with the animals...with the textural work the oil would take 3+ months to really dry...acrylic definitely easier in that sense lol
very nice donation

Wow! That's amazing! I love it! I don't ever paint leos, just dragons. Not bearded dragons but the mythical creature. I makes me want to try leo paintings again!!
