Stocks

What is everyone investing in this year?

A different topic but maybe we can all share some helpful information with each other to better our future and get through the tough time ahead.

I've been slowly moving my emergency fund in to I-bonds. I figure I'll have half of it there and leave the other half in savings. Savings account is paying 0.65% so inflation is killing it. I-bonds are currently at 9.62%.

Otherwise just throwing the 401k and HSA contributions into index funds that I won't need to touch for 10+ years.

I-bonds do have some downsides. You can't cash them out for a year, and if you cash them out before five years you lose the prior quarter's interest.

The rate is tied to the CPI which is why it's so high now.
