Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Ken Harris or anyone else at the address 1415 Pearson drive, Dalton, Georgia is/are a thief. I sent a snake to him that I was suppose to get a pair of greentrees for. Well, I agreed to cross-ship. I am sure you know the story here. I was given a phone number of some church in Georgia after I demanded to know where the greentrees were. Email addy was also cancelled today(animalkeepers@aol.com). I will Pay anyone for information and recovery of my stolen snake and information on the person and/or persons living at the above address. If anyone in Georgia can help me, let me know.
Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin...I m SO sorry to hear about your "theft"!! With that said....YOU'RE AN IDIOT!!! How many times have ALL OF US said to NEVER SHIP FIRST (or the same day) WITH SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW??? What is WRONG with you people?? Are you THAT gullible to believe what he was offering?? I got an email from one of the TOP breeders LAST NIGHT asking me THE SAME THING!! "Should I go through with this trade deal"?? I'll tell you (all) what I told him....If KEN asked for the trade....HE SHIPS FIRST!! PERIOD!! One of these days...you folks are gonna learn! Or, you're gonna be ripped off, A LOT!!
I know, I know...some of you are gonna slam me because I'm being so hard on Kevin...but, YOU KNOW ME!! When I hear STUPIDITY talking....I TALK BACK, in the HOPES that getting berated will get you to THINK before you AGREE to something SO RIDICULOUS!

<<How many times have ALL OF US said to NEVER SHIP FIRST (or the same day) WITH SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW??? >>
Neil, that sounds good in theory, but not in practice. If we all followed that, there would be no trading. If neither person will ships first because they don't know the other person, well, then, what happens?
What if the guy who got burned asked for the trade? Does it mean he deserved it?
The only way to prevent against getting burned in a trade is to have a friend in the state who you ship the animals to and who trades the animals with the guy in person. Further, when trading with a "business" get a copy of their business permit and call the local Fish and Wildlife. Please be advised that the term "business" encompasses all people breeding, selling, buying reptiles. If they don't have a permit, then get a copy of their driving license, I do it all the time when I take a check. It has helped me numerous times when they bounce a check. Anyways, I am sure there are other ways to prevent getting duped, these are just a few thoughts.

Sorry, Ciro....I DO NOT AGREE! If you follow these TWO EASY STEPS....You will NEVER go wrong!
1. If HE offers the trade...HE SHIPS FIRST! PERIOD!
2. If YOU offer the trade...YOU SHIP FIRST! PERIOD!
The ONLY way I would agree to a "same-day" shipping...is if I KNEW the other party! And, I mean KNOW HIM WELL!!!, which means you've ALREADY done business with him, and you TRUST him! Other than that...FORGET IT!!
If you follow those "rules" TO THE LETTER....you will VERY RARELY have a problem!
The only caveat to that is if YOU offer the trade (and have to ship first)....get his name, address, phone number and email addy BEFORE shipping...and then CALL THE NUMBER FIRST to make SURE he lives there! Call the BBB and ask, get on HERE and ask...FIRST!!

Whoops! OK I was thinking I had done all that when I registered. No Problem, all posts in the future will have my full name.
Anyway Neil, hate to disagree, but your way is no where near perfect either. Case in point, I offered and agreed to a trade w/ Dan Atkinson out of CA. He accepted, so I shipped all my animals first per his instructions. He kept all my animals, sent part of what he promised, and said he would make up the difference later. Needless to say, he did not. I think the moral of the story is this: doing business over the web and through the mail is risky, period. Doing trades is even more risky because you can't use a credit card to protect yourself. Just MHO Brian Conley
Hope that's all I need to post.

Brian...Did you KNOW Dan?? Have you done A LOT of business BEFORE this trade was set up? Have you ever spoke to him ON THE PHONE??
Sorry, man...my "steps" are FOOL-PROOF! There is NOTHING ON THIS EARTH that I need THAT BADLY to risk a trade with someone I DON'T KNOW! UNLESS he ships FIRST...then, it's a no-brainer!!
Brian...If you tell me that you DO know Dan and you HAVE done biz with him before...then HE IS A RIPOFF ARTIST and I would NEVER do ANYTHING with him, or for him, again! On the other hand...if you just talked to him ONCE or TWICE on the phone (but have never done any business with him), and you agreed to ship him all your animals first...then guess who's the idiot in THAT scenario??
Brian...You'll NEVER convince me that MY WAY is NOT the BEST WAY to handle a trade!

Neil, no I didn't know him personally. I did talk to him on the phone. I offered him the trade and he used the same logic you are: well you offered the trade so you ship first. I guess what you're saying is, if you don't already know the person don't trade is that correct? Brian Conley

If you are going to ship first in a trade at least include an invoice for the value of the animal and request a signiture. This way if you get burned you can go after them for the unpaid invoice, not just a trade value which I don't think will hold up in court. Just my 02. cents
