We live and learn, and just reading these threads here I have learned all sorts of things to watch for during a sale if it's a scam or not. A breeder took a chance on me and shipped on a payment plan and I made good on my payments. I hope this guy gets made whole. And if it TRULY IS Matt that's fighting for us I hope he man's up and says hey I was young the money got lost (or whatever happened) and pays this guy for the animals.

Although I'm a stay at home mom who's trying to get into breeding and breeding feeders to sell locally to help support my family while doing what I love, working with animals. So $600 of my hard earned money would not have been let go until I got some sort of resolution. Someone somewhere knew who this person was and all it would have taken was persistence, a call to the local authorities and given the address and proof the animals were sent and proof no money was received.
I think the reason it went "quiet" was because Mr. Edmonds was 'nonexistent' in the reptile hobby up until recently. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to keep bringing up an instance of being scammed, unprovoked, when there's no where the guilty party might see it or be able to address the issue, and when they're not involved in the reptile community to warn people away from them. From what I'm seeing, Ben brought it up as soon as he realized Edmonds could be a danger to someone else again - ie, as soon as he came back into the hobby. That's all.
