Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

That's interesting, how exactly is that? Silver Queens are selectively bred. Thus you can't have het for Silver Queen.

Breeding trials I did in 2000 has shown me that this is genetically standard 'A' Anerythrism and Hypomelanism, but there is something different in them that presents a rather interesting looking variant of the Ghost. I will be sticking with the new name, justifying it by the argument that they are every bit as different from the typical Ghost as a Candy Cane or Fluorescent Orange is from a standard Amelanistic corn.

Did someone say they had a Het Silver Queen?
He said his pair has the ability to throw some.
Just like two normal Normals could throw a few nice Miamis.

I asked how it was that he could produce the mutation.
I provided information that it is impossible to have "het" for Silver Queen. As I know that some breeders like to sell "het" for selectively bred mutations.
How does the pair have the ability to throw them?
The likeliness to produce nice Miamis (useing your example) from Normals is slim to none. However, anything is possible.
Though come to think of it, Charcoal Ghosts look similiar to Silver Queen Ghosts so it could also be possible if one was misinformed they could have Charcoal involved.

It's just that it sounded like you assumed that he was wrong without having any facts. For all we know, this persons pair could be SerpenCo Ghosts.
Certainly some Corns DO have the ability to throw Sliver Queens...

You lost me Mary-Beth (and that isn't too hard to do ). That's the exact same link I provided of Rich's selectively bred Silver Queens. Silver Queens will produce Silver Queens. Can't deny that.
However with this statement...
Quote:
My pair has the ability to throw them but I did not get any last year.
|
...led me to believe that he did not have Ghosts, but did have snakes that could produce Ghosts...

And it led me to believe that he could produce Ghosts and Sliver Queens. Just a difference in the way our minds work.
Just now I re-read the info at SerpenCo (it's been a long time since I read it last). I was under the impression that the Silver Queens came from his Ghost line, but that's not so. He doesn't mention whether or not he gets regular looking ghosts from that line along with the Sliver Queens though. Very interesting stuff!
Oh and my whole point with the link was that some corns throw Silver Queens, but since it's unclear if those corns can also produce normal Ghosts, my point is kind of pointless.
AH! Now I'm confusing myself!

Mine too, M-B. Here's my list at the moment. It will change in five minutes.
1. Lavender-Diffused (Plasma)
2. Bloodred
3. "Z" (Mahogany; AneryC)
4. Okeetee
5. Upper Keys (certain examples)

Blech! That's one of the names I hate!
However, I couldn't agree more on the LavBloods being one of my top choices!

I'm not 100% certain that silver queens are just regular hypo a and anery. I know Rich has had headaches with his crimson and lavender lines with random hypos popping up. And, I've never seen a ghost produced by anyone else look like a silver queen. I think that says something to the idea of there being another gene involved.
