Thai peppers
I'm growing a Thai pepper plant this year, I have around 50 tiny peppers on the plant but am waiting for them to turn red.
This is a simple, easy to prepare and pretty meal, serves 2:
10 ripe red Thai peppers. Wash these in a colander, not with your hands
1 dozen large shrimp, peeled, deveined
1 bunch scallions, washed, trimmed, cut into 1" pieces
2 avocados peeled and sliced
1 stick salted butter
1 loaf French bread
Cold Shiner
Heat oven and put in French bread
Melt butter in frying pan
Put scallions, shrimp and peppers in frying pan and sauté quickly.
Serve immediately in shallow bowls decorated on the side with the avocado slices, with the French bread to mop up the spicy butter and the Shiner to wash it all down.
Note: The peppers will flavor the butter and shrimp, and they are beautiful and are delicious, but not everyone eats them. Try *one*.
